I sat here yesterday thinking of what I was going to type out as my response to the Democratic leadership passing a military funding bill and tying it to an October 1, 2008 pullout ramp-up. But every time my fingertips hit the keyboard, I just kept thinking to myself, "what is the objective that these people are trying to accomplish?" I just can't fathom it. Is it their virulent hatred of George Bush? Is it their dislike for anything related to violence and conflict? Do they actually think that they have been lied to with respect to the intelligence that they saw to help them make a decision in allowing the US to go to war in Afghanistan and in Iraq? What is it? I really want to know.
I have my ideas, but I'll try to formulate them later. Right now, I'm just going to get a few things done and not try to hang my head in shame at thinking that my representatives just sold my country down the river, that Harry Reid made a remark that is ill-fated, ill-timed, and just wrong, and that our boys and girls overseas just got a morale-sucking shiv put right into their backs by these people. So much more to say and not enough time or energy to say it.
