I woke up this morning and realized it was good Friday and then I went slightly melancholy as I realized that my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ walked the harrowed steps on the Via Dolorosa and what that possibly must have felt like after being tortured for the sake of Pontius Pilot keeping the Sanhedrin happy by getting rid of a rebellious problem to their elitist/establishment ways so that he and they can keep the status quo going and making christ the sacrificial lamb and also by giving them a murderer of Romans name Barabas back to them.
I saw a lot of commonalities from what happened back then to a lot of what's happening today in this country and with the administration. I know Christ was scared, I know he was also pretty pissed, which is probably what drove him to do that walk with the crucifix on his back and his body beaten and bleeding from prior torture on his way to Golgatha to meet his doom.
I was melancholy because I was trying to put myself in Christ's sandals so to speak. What was he thinking, what was he feeling beyond his clear physical pain. Was his mother actually watching him? Did he really see her? To the gratitude of that samaritan who took the load from you so you could walk the rest of the way without collapsing, only to be stripped naked, mounted and nailed onto the cross, and then hoisted for everyone to see you die from fluidic suffocation in your lungs. To know as you looking down at the people crying for you as you died, seeing them suffer as well from your pain and anguish. Watching the Romans play dice for the remnants of the clothing you have, asking for a little bit of water only to get a shit soaked rag for the last bits of refreshment you'll ever experience again. To be sided with a murderer and a thief asking for your forgiveness and to not be forgotten and you mustering the last bits of strength to remind them that as they die with you, that they too will join you in heaven for it.
Then to finally think of asking your father for a reprieve only to have Satan show up and when you are at your utter lowest remind you that you too are a god and you can call the angelic host to save you, knowing what you were born to do, you tell him no and deny him his victory. What was that like to see it? To be there. Would any of us be compelled to do something or just let it happen, knowing what is in store for the future? To see Christ finally take his last breath and die, then to see Longinus thrust his spear into the side of his chest and have that fluid rain down into his eyes and mouth and cure him of his near blindness and ailments.
It was a hard thing to imagine, but I tried. It was the least I could do for someone who died for my sins. A divine being, an aspect of the totality of the one true God of the multiverse, in a man's body who saw fit that humanity was worth saving and not getting shit on like his father did the first time. I tried to imagine it and I came up seriously short. Jesus died for me. So that I can be redeemed in soul and spirit because that's all he cared about in the end. You can do all kinds of shit and repent, but the care and feeding of your soul so that you can believe in him mattered. The soul, an intangible concept of the totality of who we are as a divinely created life force. It never dilutes, it never fades, but I imagine you can stain it and that there are beings in this universe that treat it as the divine creation it is. With holiness and reverence.
Christ thought as much. Maybe we can return the favor. Happy Good Friday and a Happy Easter to you all.

THE WHITE HOUSE
Office of the Press Secretary
For Immediate Release
January 27, 2017
EXECUTIVE ORDER
PROTECTING THE NATION FROM FOREIGN TERRORIST ENTRY INTO THE UNITED STATES
DONALD J. TRUMP
THE WHITE HOUSE,
January 27, 2017.
Office of the Press Secretary
For Immediate Release
January 27, 2017
EXECUTIVE ORDER
PROTECTING THE NATION FROM FOREIGN TERRORIST ENTRY INTO THE UNITED STATES
By
the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and laws of
the United States of America, including the Immigration and Nationality
Act (INA), 8 U.S.C. 1101 et seq., and section 301 of title 3,
United States Code, and to protect the American people from terrorist
attacks by foreign nationals admitted to the United States, it is hereby
ordered as follows:
Section 1. Purpose.
The visa-issuance process plays a crucial role in detecting individuals
with terrorist ties and stopping them from entering the United States.
Perhaps in no instance was that more apparent than the terrorist attacks
of September 11, 2001, when State Department policy prevented consular
officers from properly scrutinizing the visa applications of several of
the 19 foreign nationals who went on to murder nearly 3,000 Americans.
And while the visa-issuance process was reviewed and amended after the
September 11 attacks to better detect would-be terrorists from receiving
visas, these measures did not stop attacks by foreign nationals who
were admitted to the United States.
Numerous
foreign-born individuals have been convicted or implicated in
terrorism-related crimes since September 11, 2001, including foreign
nationals who entered the United States after receiving visitor,
student, or employment visas, or who entered through the United States
refugee resettlement program. Deteriorating conditions in certain
countries due to war, strife, disaster, and civil unrest increase the
likelihood that terrorists will use any means possible to enter the
United States. The United States must be vigilant during the
visa-issuance process to ensure that those approved for admission do not
intend to harm Americans and that they have no ties to terrorism.
In
order to protect Americans, the United States must ensure that those
admitted to this country do not bear hostile attitudes toward it and its
founding principles. The United States cannot, and should not, admit
those who do not support the Constitution, or those who would place
violent ideologies over American law. In addition, the United States
should not admit those who engage in acts of bigotry or hatred
(including “honor” killings, other forms of violence against women, or
the persecution of those who practice religions different from their
own) or those who would oppress Americans of any race, gender, or sexual
orientation.
Sec.
2. Policy. It is the policy of the United States to protect its
citizens from foreign nationals who intend to commit terrorist attacks
in the United States; and to prevent the admission of foreign nationals
who intend to exploit United States immigration laws for malevolent
purposes.
Sec. 3. Suspension of Issuance of Visas and Other Immigration Benefits to Nationals of Countries of Particular Concern. (a)
The Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with the Secretary
of State and the Director of National Intelligence, shall immediately
conduct a review to determine the information needed from any country to
adjudicate any visa, admission, or other benefit under the INA
(adjudications) in order to determine that the individual seeking the
benefit is who the individual claims to be and is not a security or
public-safety threat.
(b)
The Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with the Secretary
of State and the Director of National Intelligence, shall submit to the
President a report on the results of the review described in subsection
(a) of this section, including the Secretary of Homeland Security’s
determination of the information needed for adjudications and a list of
countries that do not provide adequate information, within 30 days of
the date of this order. The Secretary of Homeland Security shall provide
a copy of the report to the Secretary of State and the Director of
National Intelligence.
(c)
To temporarily reduce investigative burdens on relevant agencies during
the review period described in subsection (a) of this section, to
ensure the proper review and maximum utilization of available resources
for the screening of foreign nationals, and to ensure that adequate
standards are established to prevent infiltration by foreign terrorists
or criminals, pursuant to section 212(f) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1182(f), I
hereby proclaim that the immigrant and nonimmigrant entry into the
United States of aliens from countries referred to in section 217(a)(12)
of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1187(a)(12), would be detrimental to the interests
of the United States, and I hereby suspend entry into the United
States, as immigrants and nonimmigrants, of such persons for 90 days
from the date of this order (excluding those foreign nationals traveling
on diplomatic visas, North Atlantic Treaty Organization visas, C-2
visas for travel to the United Nations, and G-1, G-2, G-3, and G-4
visas).
(d)
Immediately upon receipt of the report described in subsection (b) of
this section regarding the information needed for adjudications, the
Secretary of State shall request all foreign governments that do not
supply such information to start providing such information regarding
their nationals within 60 days of notification.
(e)
After the 60-day period described in subsection (d) of this section
expires, the Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with the
Secretary of State, shall submit to the President a list of countries
recommended for inclusion on a Presidential proclamation that would
prohibit the entry of foreign nationals (excluding those foreign
nationals traveling on diplomatic visas, North Atlantic Treaty
Organization visas, C-2 visas for travel to the United Nations, and G-1,
G-2, G-3, and G-4 visas) from countries that do not provide the
information requested pursuant to subsection (d) of this section until
compliance occurs.
(f)
At any point after submitting the list described in subsection (e) of
this section, the Secretary of State or the Secretary of Homeland
Security may submit to the President the names of any additional
countries recommended for similar treatment.
(g)
Notwithstanding a suspension pursuant to subsection (c) of this section
or pursuant to a Presidential proclamation described in subsection (e)
of this section, the Secretaries of State and Homeland Security may, on a
case-by-case basis, and when in the national interest, issue visas or
other immigration benefits to nationals of countries for which visas and
benefits are otherwise blocked.
(h)
The Secretaries of State and Homeland Security shall submit to the
President a joint report on the progress in implementing this
orderwithin 30 days of the date of this order, a second report within 60
daysof the date of this order, a third report within 90 days of the
date of this order, and a fourth report within 120 days of the date of
this order.
Sec. 4. Implementing Uniform Screening Standards for All Immigration Programs. (a)
The Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security, the
Director of National Intelligence, and the Director of the Federal
Bureau of Investigation shall implement a program, as part of the
adjudication process for immigration benefits, to identify individuals
seeking to enter the United States on a fraudulent basis with the intent
to cause harm, or who are at risk of causing harm subsequent to their
admission. This program will include the development of a uniform
screening standard and procedure, such as in-person interviews; a
database of identity documents proffered by applicants to ensure that
duplicate documents are not used by multiple applicants; amended
application forms that include questions aimed at identifying fraudulent
answers and malicious intent; a mechanism to ensure that the applicant
is who the applicant claims to be; a process to evaluate the applicant’s
likelihood of becoming a positively contributing member of society and
the applicant’s ability to make contributions to the national interest;
and a mechanism to assess whether or not the applicant has the intent to
commit criminal or terrorist acts after entering the United States.
(b)
The Secretary of Homeland Security, in conjunction with the Secretary
of State, the Director of National Intelligence, and the Director of the
Federal Bureau of Investigation, shall submit to the President an
initial report on the progress of this directive within 60 days of the
date of this order, a second report within 100 days of the date of this
order, and a third report within 200 days of the date of this order.
Sec. 5. Realignment of the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program for Fiscal Year 2017. (a)
The Secretary of State shall suspend the U.S. Refugee Admissions
Program (USRAP) for 120 days. During the 120-day period, the Secretary
of State, in conjunction with the Secretary of Homeland Security and in
consultation with the Director of National Intelligence, shall review
the USRAP application and adjudication process to determine what
additional procedures should be taken to ensure that those approved for
refugee admission do not pose a threat to the security and welfare of
the United States, and shall implement such additional procedures.
Refugee applicants who are already in the USRAP process may be admitted
upon the initiation and completion of these revised procedures. Upon the
date that is 120 days after the date of this order, the Secretary of
State shall resume USRAP admissions only for nationals of countries for
which the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and
the Director of National Intelligence have jointly determined that such
additional procedures are adequate to ensure the security and welfare of
the United States.
(b)
Upon the resumption of USRAP admissions, the Secretary of State, in
consultation with the Secretary of Homeland Security, is further
directed to make changes, to the extent permitted by law, to prioritize
refugee claims made by individuals on the basis of religious-based
persecution, provided that the religion of the individual is a minority
religion in the individual’s country of nationality. Where necessary and
appropriate, the Secretaries of State and Homeland Security shall
recommend legislation to the President that would assist with such
prioritization.
(c)
Pursuant to section 212(f) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1182(f), I hereby
proclaim that the entry of nationals of Syria as refugees is detrimental
to the interests of the United States and thus suspend any such entry
until such time as I have determined that sufficient changes have been
made to the USRAP to ensure that admission of Syrian refugees is
consistent with the national interest.
(d)
Pursuant to section 212(f) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1182(f), I hereby
proclaim that the entry of more than 50,000 refugees in fiscal year 2017
would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, and thus
suspend any such entry until such time as I determine that additional
admissions would be in the national interest.
(e)
Notwithstanding the temporary suspension imposed pursuant to subsection
(a) of this section, the Secretaries of State and Homeland Security may
jointly determine to admit individuals to the United States as refugees
on a case-by-case basis, in their discretion, but only so long as they
determine that the admission of such individuals as refugees is in the
national interest — including when the person is a religious minority in
his country of nationality facing religious persecution, when admitting
the person would enable the United States to conform its conduct to a
preexisting international agreement, or when the person is already in
transit and denying admission would cause undue hardship — and it would
not pose a risk to the security or welfare of the United States.
(f)
The Secretary of State shall submit to the President an initial report
on the progress of the directive in subsection (b) of this section
regarding prioritization of claims made by individuals on the basis of
religious-based persecution within 100 days of the date of this order
and shall submit a second report within 200 days of the date of this
order.
(g)
It is the policy of the executive branch that, to the extent permitted
by law and as practicable, State and local jurisdictions be granted a
role in the process of determining the placement or settlement in their
jurisdictions of aliens eligible to be admitted to the United States as
refugees. To that end, the Secretary of Homeland Security shall examine
existing law to determine the extent to which, consistent with
applicable law, State and local jurisdictions may have greater
involvement in the process of determining the placement or resettlement
of refugees in their jurisdictions, and shall devise a proposal to
lawfully promote such involvement.
Sec. 6. Rescission of Exercise of Authority Relating to the Terrorism Grounds of Inadmissibility. The
Secretaries of State and Homeland Security shall, in consultation with
the Attorney General, consider rescinding the exercises of authority in
section 212 of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1182, relating to the terrorism grounds
of inadmissibility, as well as any related implementing memoranda.
Sec.
7. Expedited Completion of the Biometric Entry-Exit Tracking System.
(a) The Secretary of Homeland Security shall expedite the completion and
implementation of a biometric entry-exit tracking system for all
travelers to the United States, as recommended by the National
Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States.
(b)
The Secretary of Homeland Security shall submit to the President
periodic reports on the progress of the directive contained in
subsection (a) of this section. The initial report shall be submitted
within 100 days of the date of this order, a second report shall be
submitted within 200 days of the date of this order, and a third report
shall be submitted within 365 days of the date of this order. Further,
the Secretary shall submit a report every 180 days thereafter until the
system is fully deployed and operational.
Sec. 8. Visa Interview Security.
(a) The Secretary of State shall immediately suspend the Visa Interview
Waiver Program and ensure compliance with section 222 of the INA, 8
U.S.C. 1222, which requires that all individuals seeking a nonimmigrant
visa undergo an in-person interview, subject to specific statutory
exceptions.
(b)
To the extent permitted by law and subject to the availability of
appropriations, the Secretary of State shall immediately expand the
Consular Fellows Program, including by substantially increasing the
number of Fellows, lengthening or making permanent the period of
service, and making language training at the Foreign Service Institute
available to Fellows for assignment to posts outside of their area of
core linguistic ability, to ensure that non-immigrant visa-interview
wait times are not unduly affected.
Sec. 9. Visa Validity Reciprocity.
The Secretary of State shall review all nonimmigrant visa reciprocity
agreements to ensure that they are, with respect to each visa
classification, truly reciprocal insofar as practicable with respect to
validity period and fees, as required by sections 221(c) and 281 of the
INA, 8 U.S.C. 1201(c) and 1351, and other treatment. If a country does
not treat United States nationals seeking nonimmigrant visas in a
reciprocal manner, the Secretary of State shall adjust the visa validity
period, fee schedule, or other treatment to match the treatment of
United States nationals by the foreign country, to the extent
practicable.
Sec. 10. Transparency and Data Collection. (a)
To be more transparent with the American people, and to more
effectively implement policies and practices that serve the national
interest, the Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with the
Attorney General, shall, consistent with applicable law and national
security, collect and make publicly available within 180 days, and every
180 days thereafter:
(i)
information regarding the number of foreign nationals in the United
States who have been charged with terrorism-related offenses while in
the United States; convicted of terrorism-related offenses while in the
United States; or removed from the United States based on
terrorism-related activity, affiliation, or material support to a
terrorism-related organization, or any other national security reasons
since the date of this order or the last reporting period, whichever is
later;
(ii)
information regarding the number of foreign nationals in the United
States who have been radicalized after entry into the United States and
engaged in terrorism-related acts, or who have provided material support
to terrorism-related organizations in countries that pose a threat to
the United States, since the date of this order or the last reporting
period, whichever is later; and
(iii)
information regarding the number and types of acts of gender-based
violence against women, including honor killings, in the United States
by foreign nationals, since the date of this order or the last reporting
period, whichever is later; and
(iv)
any other information relevant to public safety and security as
determined by the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Attorney
General, including information on the immigration status of foreign
nationals charged with major offenses.
(b)
The Secretary of State shall, within one year of the date of this
order, provide a report on the estimated long-term costs of the USRAP at
the Federal, State, and local levels.
Sec. 11. General Provisions. (a) Nothing in this order shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect:
(i) the authority granted by law to an executive department or agency, or the head thereof; or
(ii)
the functions of the Director of the Office of Management and Budget
relating to budgetary, administrative, or legislative proposals.
(b) This order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations.
(c)
This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or
benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by
any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or
entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.

Shooting in a Mosque in Quebec City... Trump Blame Shifting at 11. Shooters and the dead/wounded say they are sorry. Whatever.
So it looks like three lunatics yelling Allah Snackbar or some other stupid shit decided that going into a mosque and killing 5 people and wounding several others was a good thing to do in Quebec. In Quebec. Think about that for a second.
Quebec and specifically Quebec City are a part, but not a part of Canada. Quebec is fiercely frenchie and by that I mean, they are protectionist french who live in Canada. They hate anything Canadian. Everything is in French. English is a no-no and they've voted on it to be that way. Shit, they almost voted themselves out of Canada a few years back, losing by a gnats ass amount of voters. A real squeaker. Anyway, so you might ask yourselves that after all this is Canada where they have strict gun laws and they are sorry for everything.
Trudeau is left bewildered and wondering why or how this could happen in such a quaint city like Quebec city. Which I've been to and is quite beautiful actually in an old-world charmy sort of way. So, in uber tolerant Canada, which has one of the strictest immigration policies in the western hemisphere, they are left wondering how this could happen... And to Muslims no less. Oh the huge manatee!!!
Trudeau taking his cue long enough to stop sucking someones balls looked up and realized that something happened that involved muslims. Consulting his handbook of appropriate moods vs circumstances, a treatise on how to react in front of a camera, he decided that crying would be the right play call to make. In taking a cue from Chuck 'The weeping sad sack Jewy Jewstein' Schumer, he proceeded to get in front of a camera and get misty or something. What a fag.
Quebec has a seriously problem with a growing North African Muslim population. These aren't nice people. They are for the most part radicalized and Trudeau just announced that he is going to take in refugees that Trump won't. So more of them will be coming to your country Canadia. What is it with leftists and comitting national suicide? Are leftists that much of death cultists like their muslim brethren? Two death cults, one that kills in the womb, the other that beheads outside the womb. Brilliant.
Oh and let's not forget how Trump will be blamed for this by the leftist media as an incitement due to his executive order shutting out radical Muslim extremists and refugees from seven Islamic countries. While they nit-pick that he didn't include Saudi Arabia, The Emirates, and a couple of others. Also, he didn't include Bosnia or Indonesia, which is one of the largest Muslim populace countries on earth. Yeah, the gnashing of teeth will commence while the living walking zombies, the leftist protesters shamble from one manufactured outrage to the next.

The BIG day is upon us...
Well, it's been a very dower 8 years. President Obama will go down in history, in my opinion, as an abject failure in totality. If you are a Radical Marxist Progressive Collectivist, why, he was the greatest thing since Preparation H shrinking your hemorrhoids. He was attributed a lot of firsts, but in reality, they really didn't mean shit. He was the first black president. Nope, but he was the first mulatto president. He was a uniter. Nope, he did literally the opposite. On TV he was a uniter. In the white house, he was a fuck you motherfucker chocolate bastard that would fuck you when you weren't looking. He was clearly one one of the most divisive people to ever grace the presidency. His outrageous form of leftism was mean to do one thing and one thing only, diminish the United States in such a way as to weaken it and make it look prostrate and meek.
His world tours of apology. His bowing to heads of state in a spineless for of supplication. His perpetual whining that America's sins need to lead to American self flagellation in how sorry the country was for things like slavery, the civil war, civil rights, BLM, any leftist cause celeb. He tried to paint himself as a man of the people and really, he was just your typical spoiled little chicken head who thought he was smart, ironic, self-assured, and tried to be the smartest guy in the room. He was none of those things. I will say he was good at doing things like being an MC. He was a great MC. He should have been President of the MC.
This little half-black boy, who's mother was a communist, who's father was a black African communist (Obama Sr.), or as some believe is really Frank Marshal Davis, a black communist pornographer who knew Obama's mother because she basically posed for him in pseudo-bondage rags on occasion, who was tossed around as a young boy into a Muslim country like Indonesia, steeped in Islam and communism (because Islam and communism are quite closely related), never has a stable home life really, gets thrown on his grand-parents doorstep as a teenager. Goes to a Hawaiian middle/high school, lives in privilege, spends time with his communist mentor (father?) Frank Davis, who's friends with his grandparents, also communists. Then somehow finds himself in university around the Chicago area and gets steeped further in the leftist credo there. We never really know what he did there, how he got there, what his grades where, what he studied, or really anything else for that matter. A man of mystery. Not really, but none of that really matters. Birther bullshit aside. It really doesn't matter. It's what we've seen the last 8 years.
A guy who has spent the better part of 8 years with scandal constantly over his administration. He was literally incapable and unprepared to handle the role. Hired other fellow traveling communists into his administration and in close advisory roles. Tasked with trying to dismantle the US in ways that were fairly nefarious. To go after his political enemies, which he did through the IRS. Sought, fairly unsuccessfully to trying to disarm the populace, but at the same time would arm terrorist forces and drug cartels. Would spend over $10 trillion dollars to save $4 trillion. Cooking the economic books to show what a wunderkind of economics he was. Is responsible for increases in taxes. Is responsible for increases in regulation. Is responsible for the ACA, which co-opted 1/6th of the economy, added 20k pages of regulatory bullshit on the American public, was deemed a tax twice by SCOTUS, and gave undo powers to congress to basically compel citizens to buy their sanctioned produce or else be taxed. Not a single republican voted for it, but somehow they got blamed.
He is a master at blame shifting. It's never his fault. Ever. It's those evil republicans and Rush Limbaugh. Typical language of a soft, little man, who basically comes from upper middle-class wealth, rides the wave of his own cool because of his dark complexion and has a whole voting bloc, aka blacks behind him. Whites fawned over him. The press basically followed him around like a puppy, lavishing praise and godhood upon him. He could do no wrong, he could commit no error. He was truly, in their eyes, worthy of all that he surveyed. Obama basically was a giant safe space unto himself. And now, it's over.
The reality that he is no longer in power has left his sycophants agog with depression. Their safe space is gone. Their alternate reality bubble has popped. They will now be smacked upside the head with the perils of real life. The adults have come back home and it's too much for the leftists to bear. It really is. This man has damaged the United States in ways I can't fathom quite yet. Not from the obvious of trying to diminish and dismantle its institutions and legacies, but the deeper, backroom hidden things we don't see. But that time has come to an end, but the national leftist temper tantrum continues.
In that vein, Trump is or will be the tonic. The adults will correct the errors of letting the children hold the reigns of power. The end of error is over and an era of stability and prosperity is upon us. Well, I certainly hope so. Trump has a lot of damage to fix and god help him in trying to fix it. We've seen the errors and damage that leftists bring to the table. They are evil and nefarious and they will stop at nothing to destabilize further what they can when they can. I hope that this new presidency changes all of that. Let's all watch together and see what happens. The BIG day is upon us. It'll be a good day.
His world tours of apology. His bowing to heads of state in a spineless for of supplication. His perpetual whining that America's sins need to lead to American self flagellation in how sorry the country was for things like slavery, the civil war, civil rights, BLM, any leftist cause celeb.

Death is a motherfucker with a dark sense of humor...
Well, it wasn't bad enough that Carrie Fisher died yesterday, but holy shit, now a day later her mother strokes out and dies too? What the fuck is going on?!?!?!!?
Death, you are a fucking asshole. Seriously, just a dark, maudlin asshole. Couldn't you just wait a little bit for her to at least bury her daughter and then let her kick the bucket after a few weeks of grief? What the shit? Jesus had a quota to fill before 2016 was over and told you to go collect or else? You're a dick.
Like I said yesterday, this mortality shit is overrated? I realize that we as teeny tiny organisms on a blue mud-hole in an unknown solar system parked somewhere in the middle of the Orion Arm of the Milky Way galaxy and that our existences have basically occurred in the last 5 seconds of the cosmic time clock, and that we have a lifespan of about 80 years or so. But would it have killed the creator to inject a little more life-force into our meager water sacks to sort of extend that a little bit? I'm not greedy, say 200 - 500 years? I think a half a millennium tops is reasonable? You stay young and vital of around 35 years of age and you live to 500 and then drop dead without notice. Just like that. I'm cool with that.
Le sigh!!! Anyway, sorry to see you go like this Debbie. It was wantonly unfair and death is a jerk. Oh well. See you on the other side. Say hi to Carrie for us. We miss her already and you can take a bow for living a life well lived without scandal and being beloved by all. Farewell.

Princess Leia is dead. Long Live Princess Leia. /sad emoji
Well, as I get older, I realize that my mortality is something that is being thrust at me in ways I don't expect or want or need. Go away mortality!!! But it isn't that easy. It is with a heavy heart that today I found out that a childhood crush and big screen heroine has passed into the great beyond. Carrie Fisher, daughter of Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds has died from complication due to a massive heart attack that struck her on a flight from London to the states. I can't imagine what it's like to be Debbie Reynolds, who is in her mid 80's to know that she has outlived her daughter.
Carrie Fisher wasn't overtly beautiful, but she was pretty. There was a type of dowdiness/mousiness in the 70's that was attractive back then. Think Linda Ronstadt as a comparative.
However, given her immense success in Star Wars and her often overlooked role in The Blues Brothers as the revenge seeking AR15 wielding stalker of Jim Belushi's character, Jake Elwood, she was always going to be type cast no matter what. Even as an author and screenwriter, she couldn't escape her the role of a lifetime that made her. A lot of actors bemoan the type casting of movie/TV roles that they get. Mark Hamill is another Star Wars alum that bemoaned his typecasting as Luke Skywalker, but going on to other successful roles as a voice actor and not really 'making' it on the big screen anymore. Although he has no problem coming back for a big payout to play Luke Skywalker again in the new movies. I digress.
Miss Fisher also lived a hard Hollywood lifestyle of parties, booze, drugs, and radical leftism. That life caught up with her and I suspect the irreparable damage that living this way will do to your body caught up with her on that fateful flight. You can't live that kind of life and walk away unscathed. You just can't. Go ask George Michael how that worked out for him. Oh wait. But that ever nagging asshole called Death is always lurking and sniffing around your perimeter just waiting for you to fuck up somehow and when you do, he is there to greet with you open arms. She eventually cleaned her act up, but it left her scarred and it showed.
Even poor Linda Ronstadt hasn't fared as well. Poor dear.
In any case, Carrie, you will be missed. I'm glad you were able to finish up filming the next star wars movie and that you are somewhere with Anakin, Han, Obi Wan, and those fucking meritocracy based midichlorian assholes that convey the force to people they think are worthy. Forever Princess Leia and the eternal crush I'll have of you in that bikini. RAWR!!! Shalom and Live Long and Prosper.
